| The Flat Rock Tailgate Market is open every Thursday from May to November from 3:00 - 6:00p.m. and is located in the parking area behind Little Rainbow Row. The market is free and open to the public with ample parking. The Tailgate Market features locally and regionally grown seasonal produce using organic or chemical free and/or sustainable agricultural practices. Although item availability varies seasonally, past items for sale have included perennials, Japanese maples, wild mushrooms, baked goods, herbs, honey, jellies, goat cheese, eggs, dried flowers and of course seasonal produce. The Village of Flat Rock Tailgate Market is sponsored by the Merchants of Flat Rock and has been organized by local residents who are a not for profit group interested in providing the community with the highest quality produce and homemade products that are in season and locally/regionally produced. Read how the market idea came to fruition. All prospective vendors are screened through an application process. Vendor applications and information about the Flat Rock Tailgate Market are available by calling the Hand in Hand Gallery at (828)697-7719.
